The Safe Shirt

Throughout September and early October I worked with men who were being supported by Crisis.  Crisis supports men and women who are homeless, are at immediate risk of becoming homeless, or have been homeless in the last two years.  For people in these groups, Crisis services are free.

We created a shirt that reflected what it means to feel safe.  The shirt included objects ranging from a fork, knife and spoon, through to medals that represented the objects that made us feel safe, such as a wallet and a mobile phone.

The shirt was on show in the Crisis Cafe for two weeks.
