SHIRTS AT THE SHIPLEY

SHIPLEY ART GALLERY - PRINCE CONSORT ROAD, GATESHEAD

6th APRIL 2018

Visitors were invited to take a tour around the Shipley and then come and talk to artist and tailor Richard Bliss about what they thought made a perfect shirt.

Visitors were inspired paintings and objects in the gallery.  During the day Richard attempted to make a modern shirt on one of the old sewing machines held in the Museum’s collection, a 1960s Jones.

You can help me in my quest?  Tell me about your perfect shirt. Why is it perfect? What memories does it hold? What does it remind you of?

Success! Message received.
