The Write Festival celebrates the written word in all its forms and boasts a jam-packed programme of unmissable events. The Quest for the Perfect Shirt will be coming to the Write Festival at The Word, on 24th May from 9.30am-3.30pm.  I'll be asking people about how the written word has shaped their ideas of masculinity, from images conjured up in poetry, to favourite characters in books.  Using conversations on the day as my inspiration, I will create a shirt that will be on show at the exhibition ManMade, at Greenfield Arts in Newton Aycliffe from 24th July to 18th September.
